Arié Assayag is the Global CEO and co-CIO of Trajectoire Capital Group. Before founding the company in 2015, he was the CEO of UBP Alternative Investments based in Geneva, Switzerland (from 2012 to 2015), where he ran $10+bn of assets in funds of hedge funds and thematic funds (real estate, loans, insurance linked securities) in various formats. In 2009, he founded Nexar Capital Group (Paris/NYC) backed by the US Private Equity firm Acquiline. He grew the business to $3bn through both acquisitions (Allianz Alternative Investment & Ermitage) and organic growth before successfully selling the firm to UBP in 2012.
From 1999 to 2009, Mr. Assayag was CEO of the Hedge Funds Unit at Société Générale AM (Paris) where he launched and grew the business to $12.4bn assets (more than $8bn in FoHF) and was awarded “Best Alternative Institutional House” by InvestHedge in 2005.
From 1994 à 1999, he was a founding partner and Head of FX Derivatives at Commerzbank Financial Products, helping the bank become one of the global FX derivatives leaders. From 1985 to 1993, Arié worked for Société Générale where he launched and successfully developed several FX derivatives businesses (Tokyo & Chicago).
Arié Assayag graduated from French top engineering school Ecole Centrale de Paris (ECP).
Cyril Beriot is a Partner and Head of Business Development at Trajectoire Capital Group (TCG). Cyril joined TCG in October 2021 after 29 years’ experience in financial markets, trading and selling derivative instruments for large institutions. He started his career in Chicago in 1992 trading currency options on the CME for Société Générale group. After spending four years in Chicago he moved to France to develop the currency options market making operation on the MATIF. Cyril then moved to Société Générale head office to run the European currency options market making desk. After 13 years of trading FX options and futures, Cyril moved to London to become Managing Director and Head of FX European trading and sales for Société Générale. He then moved to Citibank as a Managing Director in its FX department. In 2003 Cyril joined H2O AM as Managing Director and Partner to develop their offshore business, targeting medium to large institutional investors in both US and Europe. Cyril graduated from Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris.
Geoffroy Gridel joined Trajectoire Capital Group in June 2021 as a portfolio manager and head of crypto investment.
Previously, Geoffroy worked at Union Bancaire Privée since 2011 as a senior portfolio manager in the Cross Asset Solution team, where he was managing funds on different asset classes with a focus on volatility and options to hedge a given risk or generate relative outperformance.
Prior to that, he participated in setting up the Lyxor Asset Management platform in Hong Kong and managed an Asian bucket of global funds. Previously he was with Société Générale Asset Management Alternative Investments (“SGAM AI”), which he joined in 2002 as a Hedge Fund Salesman and Structurer. In 2005, still with SGAM AI, he became a hedge fund manager in the volatility arbitrage programmes, with a focus on directional derivative strategies. Geoffroy is a graduate of French engineering school Grande Ecole Ponts et Chaussées, holds a postgraduate diploma from Sciences Po (IEP) in Applied Economics and is a Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA).
Vadim Cissa joined Trajectoire Capital Group (TCG) in April 2019 as Quantitative Analyst. Before joining TCG, Vadim was a Quantitative Developer at Yield Solutions SA, a hedge fund company where he was responsible since the founding date for Data Warehouse creation, Options Trading systems, developing algorithm trading models, and other data analysis and quantitative tasks. Before that, from 2013, Vadim was a Data Warehouse Developer at Tinkoff Bank in Moscow. Vadim Cissa graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute and has a Master in Computer Science.
Ralph has over 25 years of experience as a derivatives trader, volatility portfolio manager and risk manager. He began his career at O’Connor and Associates where he ran the Trading & Specialist Operations for the NY office. Ralph has wide ranging experience across multiple asset classes, geographies, and product classes, having profitably constructed and managed portfolios during all types of volatility regimes including some of the most volatile environments in history. Ralph has run businesses on the buy side and sell side; as a Managing Director at Bear Stearns, Head of Latin American Equity Derivatives at Lehman Brothers and Knight Financial Products, where, as a SVP, he was a key member of the team that built a national option trading footprint while running the Specialist & Market Making operations on the AMEX and PHLX. At Vicis Capital Management he was a Senior Trader/ Portfolio Manager where he utilized volatility modeling techniques combined with technical, macroeconomic and fundamental research themes to structure asset/sector positioning and help formulate the firm’s global volatility strategies. Most recently he was a consultant and advised institutional clients on global multi-asset strategy and risk. He devised bespoke strategies for derivative, equity, energy, commodity, fixed income and volatility positioning. He also monitored market conditions, correlation and trading opportunities for an integrated multi-asset portfolio. He joined Trajectoire Capital as a Senior Volatility Portfolio Manager in February 2022. Ralph graduated from Fordham University with a B.S. in Finance and as a Beta Gamma Sigma National Honorary
Roberto Zito joined Trajectoire Capital Group (TCG) in May 2022 as Chief Operating Officer, Europe. Before joining TCG, Roberto was Chief Operating Officer of RAM Active Investments, an asset management boutique where he built and headed all the operations to efficiently support the fund management activities and sustain the growth. Prior to that, from 2005, Roberto was a Fund Accountant at Capital International SA Geneva, and from 2002, Fund Controller at State Street Bank Dublin and Luxembourg. Roberto graduated from Università degli Studi di Firenze and has a Master in Economics.
Douglas Siekierski has more than 25 years of experience as COO, CFO and CCO with global asset managers, and has worked together professionally with Trajectoire’s Founder for more than the last 20 years. Prior to joining Trajectoire as Global COO in late 2021, Douglas was the Founder and principal of SCF Holdings, a strategic asset advisor to asset managers, wealth managers and family offices with respect to financial operations and business development, with clients including Trajectoire and its Founder since 2015, and 74 Capital Management since 2017. Until 2015 he was the President of Union Bancaire Privee Asset Management Alternative Investments LLC where he was responsible for business development and operational infrastructure. He was also Partner, COO and acting CFO of Nexar Capital Group LLC, a $3bn alternative investment manager that was later acquired by UBP. Prior that that, Mr. Siekierski was the COO of Societe Generale Asset Management Inc. where he managed all non-investment functions for the NY office of the $12.7bn AUM global alternative investment manager. He was also the Chief Operating Officer of Safra Asset Management Inc. and COO of Alpha Investment Management LLC - where in each case he managed all non-investment functions of the alternative investment management businesses. He also held general accounting roles including with Metallgessellschaft Corp. and Time Warner Inc. Mr. Siekierski received a B.Sc. in Accountancy from Villanova University.
Norman Sachs started his career in 2019 at 1875 Finance in Geneva where for 3 years he managed a Long/Short quantitative futures fund. He holds a Master’s degree in financial engineering from HEC Lausanne and specialises in algorithmic trading and quantitative investing. Norman joined Trajectoire Capital Group in 2022 as a Quant Trader.
PHAN Quoc Thai has more than 18 years of experience as a developer and architect of financial software for various groups such as HSBC, Société Générale, Nexar and UBP. Thai has worked together professionally with Trajectoire’s Founder since 2007. Prior to joining Trajectoire as CTO/Architect in 2022, Thai was the architect of the quantitative strategy simulator at UBP. Thai started his career at HSBC in 2004 as an IT developer, then joined Société Générale Asset Management in 2007 to become responsible for the Bloomberg market data loading. Thai received his Master's degree in computer science applied to business management (MIAGE) as well as a Master's degree in electronic document management from the University of Evry.
Alejandro Santamaria has 16 years of experience in software development applied to market and corporate finance. Prior to joining Trajectoire as Crypto Quant, Alejandro worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Kyriba where he contributed in the development of the application’s financial transaction management used by corporate treasurers worldwide. Prior to that(2015-2019), he worked at Societe Generale’s Equity Derivatives trading floor to develop a real-time position monitoring application for Equity Finance traders. Prior to that(2012-2014) he worked as a quantitative researcher and trader of futures and options for UBP Asset Management. He held a similar position as a quant of commodities futures at Global Advisors from 2011-2012. Prior to that (2009-2011) he worked as an IT consultant at Exane Equity Derivatives trading floor developing real-time UI trading tools. From 2006 to 2009, he worked as a quantitative researcher in the Hedge Funds division of Societe Generale Asset Management.
Alejandro received a B.Sc in Computer Engineering from University of Michigan and a Masters Degree in Financial Engineering at ESSEC.
Clément Guény has more than 15 years of experience in Private Banking and Wealth Management. Prior to joining Trajectoire as Head of Wealth Management and CEO of the Geneva office in 2022, Clément spent 8 years at 1875 Finance, one of the most important multifamily office in Switzerland with c. USD 13bn of AUM, as Senior Relationship Manager, Managing Director and partner of its subsidiary 1875 Capital. During his experience at 1875 Finance, Clément oversaw the management of the financial interests of an international family. He also took part at the Business and Investment committees. Earlier in his career, Mr. Guény worked with Bank Julius Baer and Barclays Bank as Relationship Manager covering West and North African markets. Prior to that, he started his career as an analyst at JPMorgan Private Bank. Clément graduated from EM Lyon with a MSc. in Management with a specialisation in finance and strategy.
